The world is waiting to see such a church which take sin seriously, which enjoys forgiveness completely, which in its time of gathering has an awesome sense of God’s immediate presence to bless and shape and transform people, and who loves and involves itself with the people of this world in costly companionate service.
Confronting one another’s sin through loving, gracious and proper church discipline (v 1-5)
Confronting personal and corporate sin through confession and repentance (v 6-8)
Confronting the sin filled world with the Gospel by being a holy people (9-13)
